Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968, is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes, a character in The West Wing's political dramas (2000-2002 (2006), and 2006). Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. She was adopted at an infant age by William Procter, a general physician and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was only three years old older when her parents divorced. She has an older brother, Whit who is adopted.



 



 Procter was a student at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While at East Carolina University, Procter became a member Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was employed as a television anchor for news at WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she earned diplomas in dance and journalism.
